School Bus Driver (Lee County) – Part Time $12.00/hr.

Our School Bus Drivers pick up students at stops along established routes and drop them off at school while staying on schedule and ensuring the safety of passengers. They may also transport students and faculty to special events, such as field trips or sporting events. They are also responsible for maintaining a safe environment within the bus by enforcing rules of conduct and responding to emergencies.

They fulfill Paratransit Driver duties during idle times. Our Paratransit Drivers operate lift-equipped, paratransit vehicles safely and efficiently in the door-to-door transport of passengers to scheduled sites. They assist passengers on and off assigned vehicles which may include passengers with wheelchairs and other durable medical devices; assure the safety of passengers while riding in assigned vehicles; report schedule delays, accidents, passenger incidents, medical/behavioral problems, emergencies, vehicle equipment failure and/or unusual circumstances to Dispatch and maintains accurate records and logs of trip information as required.

The minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • GPS technology and ability to operate tablets required
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (must speak, read, comprehend and write English fluently to communicate with our passengers, emergency personnel, the public and co-workers)

  • Valid Florida CDL with “P” and “S” endorsements
  • Clean driving record for the past 7 years
  • At least 25 years of age with three years driving experience for insurability
  • Must submit a local background check with application (can be obtained from local sheriff’s office)

  • Prior experience is highly preferred
  • Signed release for obtaining drug testing records from previous employers

If a job offer is made, pre-employment drug testing, a local background check, a Level II background check, a DOT physical and dexterity test will be required.

Incumbents will be subject to post-employment (random) drug testing in accordance with Department of Transportation regulations for safety-sensitive positions.

Grounds & Building Maintenance Person – Part Time $9.25/hr.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 1:30pm

Performs a variety of janitorial/custodial tasks to maintain clean and safe buildings and grounds. Assist mechanics in switching out vehicles when breakdowns occur. Washes and cleans vehicles.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for routine cleaning of buildings (i.e. pressure washing, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning windows, walls, doors, fixtures, vacuuming floors, carpets, etc.) and equipment utilized in performing these duties.
  • Dusts and cleans offices and restrooms. Cleans, sanitizes and replenishes bathroom facilities.
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and buffs floors. Sweeps and cleans walkways.
  • Moves furniture or equipment, sets up rooms for meetings and special events.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and of building such as touch up and finish painting, replacing light bulbs, etc.
  • Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks.
  • Receives, stores and distributes supplies.
  • Performs cleaning in shop areas, including bus bays and floor areas, ensuring that debris and grease are removed.
  • Provides assistance to work staff and visitors as necessary.

GROUNDSKEEPER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for basic lawn care to assist in the beautification of the premises to include picking up litter, mowing and raking grass; planting, watering, pruning or removing flowers and shrubs.
  • Removes rubbish, soil and leaves from grounds.
  • Operates trimmers, hedgers, mowers and sweepers.

MECHANIC HELPER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for a variety of tasks such as washing and cleaning vehicles. Loads, unloads and stores automotive parts and supplies.
  • Assists Mechanics with switching out vehicles.

The minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:

graduation from high school or GED. Two years’ experience successfully performing grounds maintenance, custodial and/or industrial cleaning and basic mechanic repair duties. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License and a safe driving record.

Must be willing to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold or rain. Must be physically capable of performing heavy physical labor, including lifting materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds.

Drivers (Lee County and Sarasota County) – Part Time $9.75/hr.

Hours vary between 4:30am and 7:30pm, six days per week (Monday through Saturday) and holidays (other than our six designated company holidays).

Looking for part-time Driver Operators to safely and efficiently transport our passengers to scheduled locations in a timely manner; assists passengers on and off vehicles which may include passengers with wheelchairs and other durable medical devices; reports schedule delays, accidents, passenger incidents, medical/behavioral problems, emergencies, vehicle equipment failure and/or unusual circumstances to Dispatch and maintains accurate records and logs of trip information as required.

The minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Valid Florida Driver License
  • Must be at least 25 years of age with three years driving experience for insurability
  • Clean driving record for the past 7 years
  • Experience working with the disabled, elderly and disadvantaged or related area
  • Must have the ability to operate GPS’ and tablets
  • Extensive knowledge of assigned geographical area
  • Prior experience in the Transportation field transporting passengers preferred
  • Signed release for obtaining drug testing records from previous employers
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (must speak, read, comprehend and write English fluently to communicate with our passengers, emergency personnel, the public and co-workers)
